South Korea uses KRW for ordinary prices and payments. Cash, cards, bank transfers and digital wallets may be accepted differently by merchant, location and transaction type. Always compare the dated reference rate with the final rate, fees and any dynamic currency conversion offered at checkout.
Travel notes
Before travel or cross-border payment, check whether your bank charges foreign-transaction, ATM or intermediary fees. Keep receipts when a historical rate may be needed for accounting or reimbursement.
